I periodically come across books or other resources that impress me enough to recommend to folks. This book is definitely one of those. The most recent of which is an excellent book called "IT Manager's Handbook: Getting your new job done".
The reason I really like this book is that it provides well written and easy to comprehend advice and information regarding many IT focus areas as security, disaster recovery, storage, government/regulatory compliance, and project management. I also appreciate that it talks with enough depth for a manager to understand those (and many other) areas of IT without overly confusing the reader. Speaking from my own experience, I have referenced the "Finance" section multiple times to assist with my budgeting challenges.
Get it!
